I'm an artist! I work in a wide variety of mediums, but my favorite activities are cartography and bookbinding! Love me some good ol' maps and tomes.

In addition to being an artist, I am an avid fantasy fan. I adore Lord of the Rings (the books and the movies), watch Critical Role religiously, and play Dungeons & Dragons. I also love being outside canoe camping, backpacking, cross country skiing, and chopping wood.Feel free to reach out!

The Crows and The Horses
Breath. It curls into the air
hungry white stallions
Tossing their manes and gnashing frosted teeth.
I watch them break free from my body
and fly with reckless delight to the crows
A hundred feet high.
A thousand dark trumpeters
painting their existence across the sky.
They dance, I imagine. The crows and the horses
Together celebrating that they can
on the darkest of winter days
herald the hues of the falling night
and, silhouetted in soft orange
in deepest February,
Feel very much alive.

Little Bird. You flit from seed to seed
examining each with expert care (in a second)
And discard them allLittle bird. Do you sing for another
Or because your voice lightens the morning
and summons the sunLittle bird. You forget. In all your fanciful flight
that you are going in circles.
Or perhaps you simply enjoy the stretch of your wingsLittle bird. Did you know you used to be a great dinosaur
But what does it matter.
You do not know. You do not care.Because you can sing and you can fly and you can bring the dawn
And that is enough.

Foxes grow their winter coats
The geese grow restless.

Soon to be usurped by silence.
And we know we stand
with the sun on our faces and in our eyes
